For many of us, this election exposed that misogyny runs deep in America. With respect to representation in government, the facts are grim. The United States ranks 100 out of 193 on a list of countries classified by descending order of the percentage of women elected to national legislatures/parliaments.
But guess what else this election did. It inspired millions of us to rise up. Our survey results have shown that most of our activists are women.
It is time to double down on working towards a more gender inclusive America and world. It is time for a massive national and global conversation on what it’s going to take to get to 50/50 - a more gender balanced world that’s better for everyone.
On May 10th, join 50/50 Day - when thousands of organizations, companies, schools, museums, libraries and homes will gather in a global conversation about what it will take to get to a more gender-balanced world in all sectors of society: business, politics, culture, home.
